Engineered Timber FRAME innovation
Gang-Nail Truss Frame

Gang‑Nail® Truss Frame (GNTF) is an innovative wall framing system engineered to overcome the limitations of conventional timber panel construction.
Award-winning system
Advanced Timber Framing
By applying our established Customer-Back Innovation framework and systematic evaluation of real-world market constraints, we have developed an advanced structural solution, The Gang-Nail Truss Frame.
Instead of solid timber studs and rails, GNTF uses standardised, open structural wall elements manufactured off‑site and assembled into larger wall modules on‑site, delivering greater structural efficiency, consistency, and build accuracy.

Extensively Researched Solution
This innovative solution has been developed over more than two years by our specialist R&D team and addresses key market challenges, including:
Shortages and cost of OSB
The shift towards offsite manufacturing
Energy performance
Efficiencies in manufacturing
Complexity in design calculations
Features & Benefits
Eliminate OSB
Structural strength and high resistance to wind loads are achieved through engineered design and Gang‑Nail plates, removing the need for OSB. This eliminates panel nailing and reduces the use of synthetic resins and waxes.
Faster Install
Pressed with Gang‑Nail plates, the Truss Frame wall elements provide enhanced wind resistance, minimising the need for steel goal posts and removing the requirement for sheathing.
Integrated Wall Solution
The GNTF system works with the existing Paslode and Cullen ranges to deliver a complete wall solution. Paslode structural screws or nails fix the frame elements, while Cullen wall ties secure the insulation and breather membrane as part of an integrated system.
Modular System
GNTF is a modular wall system made from standard-sized panels that can be combined in many configurations. It can be used for external, internal, load‑bearing, non‑loadbearing, and party walls, with no maximum span. This allows for open‑plan designs and large window or door openings, providing strong design flexibility while maintaining the efficiency of standardised components.
Produced Offsite
The wall elements are designed to be made offsite, meaning they can be manufactured in a controlled environment. This helps meet the government’s pre-manufactured value (PMV) threshold of 55% for the Affordable Homes Programme.
Fire Tested
Gang-Nail Truss Frame has achieved and exceeded 30 and 60 minutes fire tests, making it a safe and certified alternative to traditional timber frame.
Smarter by Design
Low U-Value
By enabling insulation to be effectively wrapped around the external face, the Gang‑Nail Truss Frame reduces thermal bridging and material usage while comfortably achieving U‑values of 0.18 W/m²K or lower in line with current Part L standards.
Superior Wind Load Resistance
Pressed with Gang‑Nail plates, the Truss Frame wall elements deliver enhanced wind resistance, minimising the need for steel goal posts and removing the requirement for sheathing.
Pre-Defined Values
Externally tested, predefined structural values provide design certainty and simplify any redesign, saving time and reducing complexity.
Lighter Weight
By eliminating OSB and reducing panel width, Gang‑Nail Truss Frame elements are around 20% lighter, improving manual handling and transport efficiency.
Slimmer Width
With external walls up to 60 mm thinner, the Gang‑Nail Truss Frame can deliver per‑plot space savings of up to 120 mm, supporting smaller foundations and higher site density.
Factory Built-in Tolerance
Factory‑built tolerances allow Gang‑Nail Truss Frame elements to be trimmed on site to accommodate foundation variations, similar to roof truss horns.

Meeting Recognised Industry Standards
Approvals & Compliance
UKCA Mark
The system meets UKCA requirements, enabling Gang‑Nail Truss Frame wall elements to be UKCA marked and supporting faster, simpler compliance checks on site.
Meets NHBC Standards
Meeting NHBC requirements, the system supports efficient off‑site and on‑site inspections, providing confidence in compliance.
